Extension Lecture by Dr. Mukut Chakraborty, Professor of Chemistry (WBSU) was organized by the department on 20th March, 2024.

One-day Seminar On "Chemistry Behind Phytochemicals And Their Medicinal Importance In Curing Various Diseases Of Human Being" on 22nd February 2023. Distinguished speakers were Prof. Tapan Kr. Maity, Dept. of Pharmacutical Technology, JU and Dr. Archana Banerjee, Retired Head and Associate Professor of Botany, Surendranath College, CU, Sponsored by Inclusion and Diversity Fund, Royal Society of Chemistry, London in the collaboration with Indian Chemical Society, Kolkata, India.

Special lecture was organized on "DEVELOPMENT OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY IN 75 YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE". The lecture was delivered by Professor Syamal Chakraborty from the University of Calcutta, on 07.09.2022.

Professor Chittaranjan Sinha of Jadavpur University was invited to deliver a lecture on “Value Ethics and Future Prospects in Chemistry “ on 13.05.2025.

Students of Semester 6 gave presentation on the topic ‘Waste Disposal, Hazards and Solution our college’ as part of Capacity Building Workshop on 10.09.2022.

Teachers Exchange Program was organized with Ashutosh College. Two teachers from the respective colleges delivered special lecture in each others college. Ms. Lazumla Tshering Sherpa, Assistant Professor of Chemistry from Bijoy Krishna Girls’ College, Howrah was invited to deliver a special lecture for students of Semester 5 of Department of Chemistry, Ashutosh College. Dr. Paramita Das, Assistant Professor of Chemistry Ashutosh College was invited for the special lecture for students of Semester 5.
