PROMINENT ALUMNI

Our graduates leave Bijoy Krishna Girls' College equipped not just with a degree, but with the analytical mindset required to excel in premier institutions and high-level careers. Here are just a few paths our recent alumni have taken:

Suchorita Niyogi (2014-2017): After completing her B. Sc. In physics Honours from our College, She  joined Vellore Institute of Technology and secured gold medal in M.Sc. Examination. After completing Ph.D. from VIT, She is now working as Postdoctoral fellow at Osaka University, Japan (2024). 

Mayusree Das (Alumna) qualified CSIR-NET (Lectureship) with AIR 26 and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. She is also a recipient of the prestigious Prime Minister's Research Fellowship (PMRF).

Madhurima Roy (Alumna) : After completing B.Sc. in Physics Honours Madhurima completed her Master’s degree from VIT. She began her Ph.D. in 2022 at Brandeis University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences with a scholarship of $53,498 and an annual fellowship of $31,000. She currently serves as Co-Chair of NE GWiSE, supporting and promoting women and gender minorities in STEM fields.

Amira Patra (M.Sc. 2023) secured a permanent position at the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) in April 2025.

Shraboni Halder joined as a Grade I Officer at Central Bank of India in 2023.

Oyendri Gangopadhyay obtained a permanent position in Hyderabad under the Ministry of Communications, Government of India.

Satabdi Behera qualified GATE (2023) and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology Shibpur.

Madhulina Hazra joined as a Laboratory Technician at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) in 2024.

Trisha Koley (Alumna) completed her graduation with honours in Physics and secured 9th rank in C.U. B.Sc. final examination. After completing M.Sc. from university of Calcutta, she joined as a West Bengal Civil Service (WBCS) officer in the Land & Land Reforms Department, Government of West Bengal (2024).

Spandita Mitra (Alumna) qualified CSIR-NET (Lectureship) with AIR 50 in 2024 and now She is PhD Research Scholar at IIT Roorkee. 

Sunita Patra qualified Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST) in Physics.Aparna Sani secured AIR 572 in Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) (2024).
