The Department of Sociology, Bijoy Krishna Girls' College is a vibrant hub of academic inquiry and social awareness. Since its inception, the department has been dedicated to empowering young women with the analytical tools to understand, critique, and contribute to the complex social factors of the world around them.

Academic Programs 

 
The department offers comprehensive undergraduate courses designed under the curriculum of the University of Calcutta.

 
B.A. Honours in Sociology: An in-depth study of social institutions, research methodology, and theoretical perspectives.

 
B.A. General/MDC/Minor in Sociology: A foundational course providing a broad understanding of social structures and dynamics.
