A month-long certificate course on ‘ICT in Education for the trainee students of the department of B.Ed. To give them a complete training for teaching with the help of technology in the present perspective. The course was inaugurated on 21st March 2024. The classes were conducted by the departmental faculty members and invited invited speaker.
In the first week classes were conducted on Introduction to ICT, Integration of ICT in the Pedagogic Process., ICT tools for educational communication, ICT for lifelong learning The classes were conducted by Basudeb Roy Choudhury, Dr. Manoranjan Parua, Dr.Chandrima Sarkar, Debanjana Bhattacharyya. Specilal Lecture for certificate couse was delivered by Dr. Kausik Chatterjee, Associate Professor, Satyapriya Roy College of Education,Kolkata.
In the second week classes were conducted Teaching and Learning with ICT, Open Educational Resources(oers), Integration of ICT in Pedagogical process, ICT for assessment. The classes were conducted by Mrinmayee De, Dr. Tuhina Begum, Dr. Chandrima Sarkar , Dr. Sova Patra
In the third week classes were conducted on ICT for assessment in collaborating learning, ICT for Educational Management, ICT for children with special needs.
The classes were conducted by Dr. Sanchayita Basu, Mrinmay Nandan, Mrinmayee DE and Dr. Chandrima Sarkar.
In the last week classes were conducted on Development of content of various Media, Process of development of audio video resources. The classes were conducted by development of content of various media and process of development of audio video resources.
Dr. Kausik Chatterjee, Associate Professor, Satyapriya Roy College of Education, invited speaker in the certificate course has delivered a lecture on “ Integration of ICT in the Pedagogic Process”.The student also competed and submitted their Project Work during this week. Examination was conducted at the end of this last week. Questions of the examination
was in the MCQ pattern and the examination was taken in the online mode. Certificates were given to all the students who successfully completed the course.
Outcome of the course:
Familiarized with the fundamentals of Internet and ICT. Learned the ethical use of ICT in Teaching & Learning.
Developed the skills of using ICT for communication, collaboration and support.
Created an awareness of the digitalised Teaching learning system in education using hardware, software and communication components used in ICT system.
