ACTIVITIES

The Environmental Studies department often works closely with the college’s Ecoclub and NSS (National Service Scheme) unit to organize:

• Tree plantation drives

• Cleanliness and awareness campaigns

• Observance of environmental days (e.g., World Environment Day)

• Workshops on sustainability and conservation Such activities help students apply theoretical knowledge in real-life situations and develop environmental ethics. Role in the College Bijoy Krishna Girls' College, established in 1947 and affiliated with the University of Calcutta, emphasizes holistic and value-based education.
